Morocco | Dades Valley
At-Ben-Haddou is a Ksar, a fortified village, at the foot of the High Atlas - six nested Kasbahs (clay-made fortress) and an Agadir (granary). The village was a caravanserai of the Ben-Haddou clan (At) on the way from Timbuktu to Marrakesh since the time of the Almoraviden in the 12th cenurty. Well-know, not only for its UNESCO status but also for the numerous films that where made there (a.o. Lawrence of Arabia, Jesus of Nazareth and Gladiator).
